Ah, may as well. It'll remind me to keep working on it.

If there are any questions about the setup or whatever you want to know, ask away, and I'll use one of the reserved posts for answers, and also for room for me to keep lists of stuff I have trouble finding when I need it...

Another incremental best and some onboard vids.

Well, given the weather lately, cold and wet and heavy, and a warmfront that started today, last night was a great night to head to the track. We actually had negative DA's for the first time since I've been paying attention. Those were early in the morning, and late at night, but while we were there the DA was in the neighborhood of 200' or so.

So after having a LOT of trouble getting anything good to happen using Pops' drag radials, I went in street trim, and I tell you what: for my power, the Toyos at 27psi simply hook. They really seem to do all I need them to do. I had a couple of runs (one each, the last three times with them at the track) where there was NO noticeable wheelspin off the line. It's not like that every run, but I had never experienced that before this winter, and I have now, three different times...

So anyway, I made a new best on the first run of the night, and then beat it on the last run of the night. New best is 13.373@107.028. The 60' timer was busted (someone ran in to it apparently, earlier in the day), so I don't know what that time was.

Here are a few onboard videos for grins:

First run (13.385@106.9):

Second run, and couldn't get the tires to spin in the box, so they spun off the line. (13.6@106.4):

Fourth run, 13.5@106.3:

Final run (and a new best - 13.373@107.028):

I did 8 runs, and Anitta did another 4 - she hit 108 mph on one of them - that's a new best trap speed for this car (13.420@108.023).

Here's the slip:

sorry for the hi-jack but...

now my question.. I know I have to fill out the form thing. but when i'm done doing that does it take me into creating a thread like this??

I would like to do something similar where I snag up the first couple posts...

#28 ·
Yeah, it will autofill the data onto the first post, and that's it. Try to catch it soon after it's posted - it'll show up as a thread you created - and then reserve some posts up top before anyone else gets to it. ;)

Once it's posted, you can edit the top post as you like, same as the rest of them.

Plan on taking some time and grabbing what you want to include, from all over the place - that part took a long time, and knowing that it would, it took me forever to feel like starting it. Once it's there, though, it's really handy for adding stuff to.

This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
