Okay...So I call my dealer this morning to see where the heck my car is. I get the no-nothing people in sales who think I'm looking for info on one, but I tell them over and over I "Have one on order..." Well, they're not too helpful so I ask for a sales manager. He gets on the phone and gives me a little song and dance about how fast these things are moving and that they have taken orders to fill up sales through the end of May, maybe even June. After 10 minutes of bull, I ask about my car again. "Oh, yeah, hold on a second Chris, let me see where it is." So I wait for another 10 minutes ...When he gets back on the phone he declares, "Well Chris, we seem to have a little problem, (big pause) Your ordered car hasn't been built, (another big pause) yet." At this point I think I nearly dropped the phone with anger. The car I've been drooling over for the past three months and thought was done is still nothing more then a piece of paper right now!!
After some whining and complaining, I asked what would happen (and why they told me it was built when it wasn't). He said they could keep my current ORDER (which might not see production until June, get me a new ORDER (and the point of that would be??), or cancel it. His explanation as to why a sales guy told me it was built was, "lack of experience..." What gets me is I gave the dealer my ORDER the first day dealer ordering opened for this car. In my personal opinion, I think the dealer didn't place my ORDER until a few weeks ago, if that (they might have done it yesterday for all I know). Well, there's not much I can do now...Man, this sucks...I'm pissed at the dealer (but more my sales guy) for telling me my car was ordered and built when it wasn't...
...And I was really looking forward to being the first car in the registry here (a little humor always helps)... :)
Oh man...that sucks! They need to bend over backwards and really get some major customer service butt kissing in ORDER to keep you as a customer of theirs!
Really sorry to hear about this Chris. Hope it all works out. :(

I feel your pain! If you'll Email me (superdave@waymark.net) your VON or VIN I'll be happy to CHECK on it for you to see when/if it was really ordered. I have several ways to go about that...

VON's are assigned the moment a car is ordered. That is certainly disappointing...
Good luck to you!

Yeah, I'm so bummed right now.
Doesn't look it, but I don't know for sure, I hung up the phone on them when the guy couldn't give me a VON. I'll try back maybe tomorrow, to mad to deal with them anymore today.
Bancroft in Worcester...Great dealer too, I don't know what happened this time around.

Contact PAM at Classic Chysler in Rayhnam, MA. They have been great and had awesome influence to get my car produced in April after the April production schedule was already set.
they had 2 hemi's (sold) but also 5-6 other 300 series cars so they have some pull.
Chris,
When we went to the Opening Night thing over at Herb Chambers, the guys there seemd to be pretty straight and knowledgeable. Sean was the guy I dealt with and the service manager seemed like a real nice guy too (an aside - he's the DJ at the Millbury fireworks on the Fourth of July if you've ever been there).
Looks like I'll be calling Harr first thing tomorrow since my salesman told me a week ago he'd call me as soon as he had a VON and I haven't heard FROM him.
Good luck
Dennis
BTW, they're supposed to have an SRT10 p/u at Herb Chambers Thursday.

Yeah, the people down there are pretty good. That's where I got my Dakota and Sebring. Overall, I've had a great experience with them.

Ah, sorry, I missed the "p/u" in your first post.
I'm waiting for a few days, I don't want to call them in fear I might make a bomb threat to the dealer of something 'cuz I'm still quite angry.
