I have FOUND my next vehicle!!! I've ben toying with staying with an SUV, but now have officially changed my mind. The 300 is absolutely AWESOME.

Went to my local Chrysler dealership today. They had two on the lot -- one was a base model with no frills in the jade/green color w/dark cloth interior; the other a fully-loaded dark blue 300C w/the light leather/dark floor. The blue one was already sold. I was able to sit in the jade one, however. I was surprised how big it actuall is -- big in a bulky kind of way. This car has serious attitude! Didn't take it for a test drive because I feared that I just might not bring the car back, LOL!

I didn't know that the car battery was in the trunk, so that was a surprise. Also, the windshield angle was really dramatic -- very slanted. The seats felt higher up than a regular sedan, but not quite that of a small SUV. The perfect ride height. I was hoping not to feel too small when surrounded by monster SUVs, but the 300 can definitely hold its own.

Another surprise was that the green is very light -- almost mistaken for a silver. The car was outside in bright sunlight. I'm not sure what color I will end up getting, but really want to see the black. Since it is metallic like the dark blue, I think it will be a real heart-stopper! Several of the sales people said that the "best" color in their opinion was the cool vanilla. Have yet to see one in person!

My current lease is up in about two months, so I will be obsessing over color until then!
Just thought I'd share my enthusiasm!

Hi go6car and welcome to the site!

Looks like you've caught the 300 bug. Once people see these cars in person, there's no going back!

Funny you mention the cool vanilla. There's been a lot of discusion regarding that color. Its one of those "love-it or hate-it" colors.

Next time you are at the dealership, look at a PT Cruiser. A lot of them came in cool vanilla. At least you'll get an idea of what it looks like in person.

Good luck and again, welcome to the site!

Thanks for the nice welcome!

Is the cool vanilla on the PT's the same as on the 300s? Or just close enough...

Thanks,

Welcome aboard!

Personally, I hate the Cool Vanilla. Hell, I hate all white cars.

THe blue colour, is by far the best.

I'm going to go visit some other local dealerships (can you tell I'm obsessed with this car, LOL?!) to see some of the other colors in person. Hopefully within th next few weeks.

I think I'm crazy for wanting black, but if its even close to how amazing that dark blue looked, I think I'll be hooked! I've never owned a black car, and everyone keeps telling me how much work it will take to keep it clean. But, what the heck! You only live once!

And, thanks for the info on the cool vanilla. I'll be sure to CHECK out how it looks on the PT. I just hope I'll be able to wait until June when I can get one! In the meantime, I'm sure I'll be posting away on here! I think I may have to give up the Touring model for the 300C! Those RIMS..........!!!!!!

Thanks!

Where in NJ are you? The NY Auto SHOW starts this weekend for the public at the Javitt's center in NY. Head on over there and CHECK 'em all out next to each other! ;)

Southern NJ, right outside of Philadelphia. I went to the Philly auto show, too. Sounds like a road trip to NY might just be in ORDER now!

I saw a dark blue 300 Touring rent-a-car in Byrce Canyon earlier this week. The front-end look cheap and the rear bumper looked way too large.

However, I sat in and examined a 300C painted Magnesium today. What a difference - the chrome on the front end, the paint color, and rear proximity sensors in the bumper really made a difference. The interior is very nice.
