Not sure why they list that on the order as an option, but it must be good! Right?

This was a dealer pre-order that I hijacked (so as to be the first kid on the block with one). If I had it to do manually, I would probably forego the wood trim (I have no idea what this model's will look like), and I'm 50/50 on whether I would have had the DVD player factory installed. The option for it seems grossly overpriced compared to what can be found at the local custom audio shops.

My car will be built next week, right about the time the dealer promised it would be on his lot...ahem.

Ordered a 3oo Limited, black with dark slate gray top interior and medium gray seats. It's due at the dealer on June4th but previous vehicles we've ordered came in about 2 weeks early. I also got the upgraded sound system; Boston Acoutistics 288 Watt with 6 speakers. I hope this sound system will be better than the one I had in my 99 300M. Has any one heard this sound system?

Thanks for the info! I'd recommend that any current DC owners take advantage of this! It's one of the few rebates your are going to be able to get on these cars at first.

Just checked status this morning and they gave me VIN; D1 scheduled for build, at gateline. Don't know if I will be impacted by the Sunroof SNAFU or not. Customer service rep didn't know. I wouldn't think so if it is presently "Scheduled for Build". Will keep my fingers crossed.

Called my dealer today. ORDER FROM 4/19 (300C with most extras incl. moonroof) is still in BG. Will not be build in June. So hopefully in July then. Good news is they can enter moonroof orders INTO the system again. Just have to tell people that there is a wait. With my luck in will come in early August when I am out of town for 2 weeks.

I ordered 27April and got a VIN and D1 Sceduled for build (05-13-04).
Called yesterday and was told it was scheduled for build on 11 June.
This afternoon I checked on-line and SUPRISE!!! Car was built TODAY and plant released (KZ) currently "At Facility" with ETA at dealer (California) 8 June.
This is a 300C with all options (yes with sunroof) except cold climate.

So for all those waiting...there is hope and apparantly the scheduled build dates are pessimistic.

Man, I could've had my 300C at least built maybe or a VIN# assigned, but I thought I wanted the Deep Lava Red Metallic. After seeing the color I decided against it.(not enough red in it more like brown to me) Anyways I end up ordering weeks later (5/3/04) the 300C Midnight Blue Pearl, Lt Greystone Interior w/Sound Grp II, Moonroof, Cold Weather Grp & Wood Trim. I was given my VON# a week later and told a 6-8week wait. So now I'm apart of the waiting game as well :cry: . Patiently Waiting!!

I was hoping to have the car for the summer as I'm in education and just started my 2.5 mo vacation. Oh, the plans I had for this car! 5/2 ordered black w/everything except Sat radio & cold weather. (bought my wife a PT Cruiser GT at the same time)

5/7 or so dealer calls & says moonroofs suspended until further notice

the rest of May.. I only hear FROM my dealer if I call them & leave a message.. finally find out FROM him (after I've known for at least a week) that the moonroof suspension was lifted says my ORDER should go in on his next months allotment for build in June or July

6/2 I have to call him again.. no customer service at all FROM this dealer.. I may go elsewhere just to screw him out of the $$ if I don't buy a CTS or something else.. now he says.. oh I was up all night checking the web site and Chrysler says no 300's will be built in July.. so he cannot get my ORDER in the queue... this smacks of BS and I am P.O.'d!

I am going to start calling further up the food chain to see what I can find out tomorrow... due to the lack of communication FROM my dealer with me HAVING to call him to squeeze only worse news out of him (just be straight with me & I'll deal with it!) I am at the point where I almost wish I could take my wife's car back.. get my deposit back on the 300.. and give my $67k to ANYONE else! hahaha

man I am STEAMING but I WANT THIS CAR! nothing else on the road anywhere near its price range looks half as cool.. except for some classics that are edging INTO the running along with the CTS, S-type Jag, or Benz that I will have saved enough extra $$ to buy by the time the 300c could come in (SEPTEMBER!!!!! sheesh)

No dealer in my area has a 300C with the options I want. One came close, but the car had carrier damage to the roof in front of the sunroof. The 300Cs have been trickling in and most have been sold before they come off the truck.

Virginia is in the middle of the east coast.

Both Sunroof and possibly Uconnect are reasons the ORDER has not been scheduled for build.

I am not a salesman I just happen to know there are two C's available at Dave Smith Motors in Kellogg, ID. One is a silver loaded and the other is a Cool Vanilla loaded. If you're interested, call Tom Dorr at 18006358000 ext 1305 and tell him Rich Repp told you about them. He is charging $217 over factory invoice for them (or better). He gets cars in all the time so give him a call if this is your vehicle. :D

Of course, I was also told that I would have the car in 8 weeks.

I stopped by my dealer on Saturday. They checked status and were shown ZA (cancelled), instead of the BX that Chrysler told me. But the dealer says not to worry. All of the orders were going to be cancelled and reinput due to some system problems. We shall see. Wish me luck :!: :!: :!:

I just ordered mine over the weekend. My dealer could ORDER new ones, but turns out someone backed out of one that was ordered a while ago, so I stuck my name on it. I believe he is checking the Von/Vin tomorrow and will get back to me with a delivery date (estimated of course).

I could have had a base 300c today, but I was going for the extra toys.

I've enjoyed the discussions for sometime and decided to join in! Test drove the 300C on Premier night and that was that. Placed the ORDER the following Monday to REPLACE my '99 300M. It's been an emotional roller coaster ride as far as ORDER status since then. I'll elaborate in the appropriate forum areas. :) By the way, it is Jade, SGII (since updated to Nav w/ SGII) PGII. No HID, pedals, wood or Smoker Grp. Dealer had no confidence in a possible timeframe. No hurry, just be glad when it's mine. :lol:

I called the 800 number today and was told that mine should be built the 2nd week of July. I then questioned her about the plant shutdown and was told ??? if the plant shuts down then it will probably be the 4th week of July. I asked about a firm build date and was told that they should have it by next week.
This means that they know nothing and are trying to molify all callers.
I just have to keep my finger crossed. The second week in July is only 12 weeks FROM my order. If they do build it then, I should have it within 4 to 5 months FROM my ORDER date. Not bad :!: :shock: :!:

I was told today that there will be no shutdown this year, due to the fact that the vehicles being produced are 2005's and therefore no changeover is required. If that is true, all of us who were told the 2nd week of July might just be in luck. Hmmm, if my luck is changing, maybe I should go out and buy a lottery ticket. :thumbs_u: :D

Ordered my 300C on 6/16 and already have BX status. I got silver with the light greystone interior. Sound and protection GROUP II, adjustable pedals, sunroof, and HID headlamps.

I've seen the TABLE detailing what the ORDER status codes mean. Has anyone seen a TABLE detailing what the priority codes mean? I have a priority code of 99? Have no clue what that means but 99 doesn't seem good.

I was at my dealer this morning checking nthe status of my Magnum RT. I ordered it April 24, 2004. While they were checking I took a look at the 300 on the floor. Ouch I got sticker shock big time. It was a 300 limited, not even a hemi. They had the balls to add a $3995.00 dealer markup. IT brought the total sticker price to $35,500. Ouch again. Would anyone pay that much for a V6.

Some day my Magnum will come in. :roll:

I would not pay $3995 mark-up on a fully loaded 300C. I deal FROM the offical window sticker price FROM Chrysler. I will not play the dealer mark-up game. That is foolish. I would go to a dealer that does not try such price gouging nonsense. Or I would wait until that dealer wises-up and deals FROM the factory sticker price. No vehicle is worth a $3995 dealer mark-up. I do not have to be the first in my neighborhood to have a particular vehicle. In a few months, 300Cs will be out on the streets in numbers. So what if I was the first on my block to have a 300C? The $3995 dealer mark-up illustrates the saying: "A fool and their money is soon parted."

Trying to hang in there and wait, but it is getting difficult after waiting 4 months.

Thanks Pixel! I'm really trying to hold on. I was looking at an STS before checking the 300C. I prefer the RWD, but I'm not good at waiting especially to pay someone $30K. I really want the 300, so I'm sure I'll wait like everyone else has. Patience grasshopper.

A little late here, but I ORDER mine 300C on July 24th. Salesman told me to expect 8 to 12 weeks for delivery. Black w/ lt slate interior, sound II, wood trim, sun roof and high intensity lights. Once it is here, I will probably get the Bentley Grill and spoiler. Dealer will be tinting windows to the darkest that is legal.

I live in Washington, DC area too and am planning to get a 300c or touring. I've visited 2 dealers and I thought I couldn't afford a 300c, but after spending 3 days reading the reviews, I think I have to have at least a 3.5.
A dealer in Alexandria had serveral 3.5's and a pre-own 300c. I got a feeling that they'd not allow me to get any of them off the lot with below msrp so I went to the 2nd dealer. They only had a limited.
What do you think of the market here? Do you think I can save a bit more money by ordering a piece? Or there's still a chance that I can negotiat with the dealers and try my luck? My timeframe of buying can be within months. If you think the price will likely to stablize or drop, I can wait..........

Just to let everyone know, I took the plunge this evening and ordered my new 2005 Chrysler 300. The car is Cool Vanilla with the Dark Slate Gray/Medium Slate Gray interior. The only option I had put on the car is the Electronic Stability Program. I am just arriving home FROM the dealer (9:09 PM) According to my sales consultant, the car should be here in about 6 weeks. He will call me on Monday with the confirmation of the order, and the VON. I can't wait to get the car. I'll keep everyone posted now that the ball is rolling. Well I am now the proud owner/leasee of a 2005 Cool Vanilla 300C. It came in last week after being on ORDER since the end of July. Wow, this car is awesome! The power, the look, it's great. Boy the heads really turn when this car passes by. I can't even count the number of people who asked me about the car last night while tailgating before the Kansas City Chief's Monday Night game. It's funny, even though the Chiefs were getting run over by the Pats, I was O.K. with it thinking about being able to drive home in the "C".

Wow! I just found out that my car has shipped today! When I ordered it on Nov. 21st I was told to expect the car in the spring of 2005. The build date was suppose to be the first week in Jan. 2005. I can't believe that they are actually ahead of schedule. What a great Christmas gift.

After waiting almost a year for DC to offer U-Connect and AWD on the 300C I was finally able to ORDER my car. On December 14, 2004 I put down a deposit and started the long long wait. Well today I couldn't hold off any longer so i phoned the dealership and asked when I might get a VON. He said:"VON?---why not try a VIN?" Yes I have a VIN. So I phoned he tracking service to see its status and was told the car is already in my city so I will probably get it in 2 or 3 days! This must be a record because I have see posts here FROM owners who waited 5 to 6 months. The car is Vanilla with every option except Sirrius, smokers and California wood. We have freezing rain here so I cannot wait to try the AWD

went to the dealer to ORDER the 05 300c, could not find a black one. I was told bad news and good news, too late to ORDER an 05, in February???? Since they are building the 06 dodge charger and the 300C in the same factory, they cannot build different model years there, so are only building 2006 models now. I ordered a 2006 with price guarantee to not exceed current pricing. I got the moonroof, gps upgraded stereo with built in 6 disc cd player with 7 speakers with woofer and amp. Satelite radio. Brilliant pearl black with charcoal seats. I was told expect 3 months before taking delivery.

I went into the dealership on Monday and got my Bright Silver 300c AWD on Tuesday. I didn't get a couple of options I wanted like wood triming and protection package II but had no choice because the next batch of AWD models where 6 to 12 weeks away. But, I LOVE what I have. I'm finding it difficult to get some aftermarket rimms for my AWD.
The trunk space is great, besides my baseball gear I can fit my wife in there too!

I ordered my 300C on Feb. 2nd, 2005, it was built on march 29th 2005, with anticipated delivery on april 7th, it is now april 12th and have not taken delivery yet, i do know it is enroute to the dealer. I got brilliant pearl black, hemi, moon-roof, gps, upgraded stereo, and sirius radio. I have sold my 95 impala SS and am driving my 51 mercury lead sled as my driver, also riding my pearl yellow goldwing. I saw a 300 with 20's on it, there was only about 1/4 inch clearance between the shock bolt and the tire. I'm going to run the stock 18's and be happy with them.Hoping to take delivery this week! Yippeeeeee!!!

I waited 3 months to find out the car was no closer to being built than it was when I placed the order. I found one locally and purcased 05/29 an '06 300C in Bright Silver/Slate Gray, it didn't have Cold Weather Pkg, or Sirius Satelite Radio, but it does now.

I've recently ordered a 300C Heritage Edition in Inferno Red, Sirius Radio, and the standard options for this package. It is currently in "D" status with a build date of 5/25/06... Needless to say I can't wait...I plan to tint the windows, CAI, possibly add an exhaust, wheels and tires, up grade the center console, wood or carbon fiber dash kit, customize the engine cover..... and the list goes on..... great site!!!

Bought 300 Touring, stock sound because they will never produce a high quality enough stock system to meet my demands, wheels same, and will go with the the new kit being developed by AED. Upgraded the grill, put stainless on the pillars, rockers, trunk and behind the license plate.
