Here is a tireszize calculator that I found that can be helpful http://www.powerdog.com/tiresize.cgi (http://)
Just type in your size and any other sizes to compare.
thanks for the help. according to that calculator, the diam. is .9" smaller. will this give me esp failure?

Even if you're running smaller tires, the computer don't know that. Now, run different sized front and rear and the computer might take notice.

I'm running 245/40/20's in front, and 275/50/20's in back, and I haven't had any problems from the computer.

Did you check the correct bolt pattern for those wheels? Last time I checked, the Coys wheels were offered in a 5X4.5(5X114.3) bolt pattern. I think you need the 5X115 bolt pattern if I remember correctly from reading from these posts. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
I don't want to rain on your parade but I do want you to get the correct bolt pattern for your wheels so that you wont get any vibration problems.
Good Luck

uh-oh, good question. I spoke directly to the owner's son in Utah. He said that they've already fit over 20 Magnums. So I figured he knew what the correct bolt pattern would be. Guess I'll find out soon enough; I get them Friday!
Thanks for your concern. I'll have to check into it.

They are 5*4.5, not 5*115mm. They'll go on, and it seems some have had problems, and some have not. This is my understanding of reading about the wheels on this and other forums.

That is why I ended up getting the RT wheels for my SXT. I wanted the AR Torq IIs or Coys, but neither had correct bolt pattern. Not sure if any manufacturer has the EXACT/Correct one and most are using the Mustang/universal 114.3 size.

Find PhatJay member here he can hook you up with some hubcentric rings for your Coys. I have Coy C5s and after installing the rings they are vibration free ride!

Tire shop I spoke with said there's not much available (except for custom). But if we wati a bit, the manufacturers will be puttin some wheels out soon.
diamondrmp, where did you get your Coy's? do you like them?? thanks for the tip on the rings. i'll pm PhatJay in the morning.
the rep I spoke with said he used 4.5" backspacing. does that have anything to do with the bolt pattern?

I got my Coys straight from Coys. Backspacing and bolt pattern are different. PhatJay can give you all the correct info onit.

If you are willing to go for custom wheels, check out the Boyd Coddington Smoothie IIs.
These are 18"x8" rims with 255/55/18 BFGoodrich g-Force KDW-2 tires:

Hey IDS
Your Mag looks sweet! What is the offset on those wheels? Are they the 5X115 bolt pattern or the 5X4.5?

Lex, Be sure to post pics, those rims are sweet, did I read that they are 20's?
ID, sweet!
trying to post pics....need to resize them. I don't like the way they look on my car, so I'm selling them. I wanted the 18's originally, but he didn't have the tires in that size so he talked me into the 20's. Turns out he didn't have the BFG's in 20's either.
so he sent Hankook ventus sport k104 on the 20" C-5. If anyone's interested in buying them, let me know before Monday because they're going back.

Rockadile: At the time I ordered them, at the end of March, the set of 4 custom rims cost me $1,500. When I re-checked their price at the end of June, they had gone up to over $500 a piece! Not sure what they cost now.
Shaggin Magnum: Since these were a custom order, the only way you can get these rims, I was able to specify the offset and bolt pattern I wanted. I just used the numbers I got from the Knowledgebase... bolt pattern of 5x115mm and offset of +18, I think (not sure of the exact offset, but it's whatever is in the KB).
BTW, the only bad thing about these rims as far as I'm concerned, is that it took over 6 weeks from the time I ordered until they came in (I've never been known for my patience)!!! <grin> I definitely think it was worth it now... but at the time, I thought I would go nuts waiting for them...

I think my tire guy, the owner of a local Big 'O Tire, got the Smoothie IIs from the only online distributor of Boyd's I could find at the time. Here's a link (http://www.truckshop.com/product.php?productid=19637&cat=733&page=1).

Can one of you that already have this set post some pictures? I was thinking of going with these. Ebay had them posted as 18" for the magnum, $1000 set of four. Some guy from utah.. wonder if it was the same guy.
My other concern is that I have AWD, and I don't know if these have a size that will sit right on it.

Without knowing the offset, you can't know. You need at least a +42mm offset on the AWD. The original is 55 mm.

So where are people getting their hubcentric rings? I did a search on "PhatJay" and turned up nuthin. I see they can be ordered from JustForWheels.com, but the inner and outer dia measurements are not in numbers I understand.
Basically, I need to fit a 114.3 wheel onto our 115 hubs. Tell me where to buy these rings!
PS: Thank you :)

PhatJay's name is Jason and he can be reached at Tires Direct @ 800-938-3456 Ext. 232. He charged me $15.00USD, shipping included. I'm located in Calgary, Alberta Canada, so those of you having them shipped within the US will likely pay a bit less.
I haven't received mine yet but according to Jason they are carved out of steel, not plastic, and they are quite good quality.
DiamondRmp(Thanks again) put me on to Jason so he can likely offer a bit more insight into the quality, etc., of the hub centric rings.
Good first post. Welcome to this forum.

I love the wheels but the customer service SUCKS!!!
The wheel is the Coys C5. I will tell you, be very careful if you decide to purchase from them. I got my wheels and they were pitted. After 2 weeks of calling and them not returning my call I finally spoke to someone. They're response was basically this has never happened before. My answer was, SO it happened to me. They wanted me to pay for shipping and handling back to them to check the wheels. I just decided to eat it and keep them. Also they left these warning tags on the wheels and I scratched my wheels trying to get them off. They said Oops we always remove those we forgot to do yours. It took a month to get the tags off and the wheels are scratched from the attempt.

Thanks for the link to Jay guys.
It turns out, the rims I've got incoming are drilled to fit the application, before shipping; 5 -115? No problem! I'm totally impressed with Diablo and will be sure to post up a few pics when these babies arrive.

Nobody's got pics of these Coy C5's on a magnum?
where do I start?
Random Access: go to coyswheel.com, photos. there's a gray magnum w/ C-5's.
Diamondrmp: I'm also disappointed with their service. I originally wanted 18's with BFG G-Force tires. I was told the tires are on backorder for weeks. BUT he could ship the wheels in a 20" the next day. wanted a beefier sidewall with the 18's but I NEEDED these IMMEDIATELY. so I said okay to the 20s. Got them last week but with Hankook tires. After calling, he said he never told me the 20's would be on BFG's. I wasn't too thrilled about that. We decided it was a misunderstanding, and that I should send them back. We will SPLIT the S&H cost and he'll send what I asked for. I shipped them this morning.
Magnum SXT: thanks very much for the link to that thread. that helped me understand what I need for these wheels if I still go with them. without it, who knows what aggrevation I might have had. thanks again, LOTS!!!
instead of the chrome, I'm leaning towards the gray w/chrome lip now. hesitating because of the cool vanilla.
it was also nice to see how many other people like that wheel after reading that thread.

Diamond your car looks sweet bro! I just came across these coy's this morning and am pretty sure i've finally found a wheel that compliments this car and keeps it looking muscle. What does pitted mean? How much did you pay for the set of wheels? What tires did you end up with? Who do you suggest buying the C5's through? I think I'm going with the grey center even though I have a vinalla. I have dark SXT headlights and dark tint so keep with that theme.

Thank you for the compliment. Pitted means there are little nicks in the chrome. You can only buy the Coys through Coys. The wheels are 20x8.5.
